1. Application in coatings and paints
(1) Coating and paint solvents: Butyl glycol ether is widely used as a solvent in coatings, paints, printing and dyeing, cleaning agents, foaming agents and other fields. It can thicken, solubilize, enhance, emulsify and prevent corrosion.
(2) Nitro spray paint and quick-drying paint: Butyl glycol ether is a high-boiling point solvent for nitro spray paint and quick-drying paint, which can improve the gloss and fluidity of the paint film.
(3) Enamel and paint strippers: Butyl glycol ether is also used as a solvent for enamel and paint strippers, which can prevent fogging and wrinkles and improve the gloss of the paint film.
