Application:
1. In the pesticide industry, it is used to synthesize triadimefon, triaminoazole, triazophos, triadimefon, tricyclazole, paclobutrazol, uniconazole, insecticide, dicofol, etc.;

2. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used to synthesize caffeine, analgin, aminopyrine, aminophylline, theobromine borneol, vitamin B1, metronidazole, mebendazole, etc.;

3. In the chemical industry, it is used to manufacture calcium formate, sodium formate, ammonium formate, barium formate, potassium formate, ethyl formate, dimethylformamide, formamide, pentaerythritol, neopentyl glycol, epoxy soybean oil, epoxy soybean oil octyl ester, pivaloyl chloride, paint stripper, phenolic resin, pickling steel plate, etc.;

4. In the electroplating industry, it is used as an additive for electroplating solution to change the performance of the electroplating solution, increase the stability of the electroplating solution, and improve the quality of the coating. Regulate the concentration of chromium ions;

5. In the leather industry, it is used to make leather tanning softeners, deashing agents, neutralizing agents, etc.;

6. In the rubber industry, it is used as an organic synthetic natural rubber coagulant, rubber antioxidant, etc.;

7. In the textile and printing and dyeing industries, it is used to eliminate the nitrous acid gas produced by the sodium nitrite method of indicot, as a dyeing auxiliary for weak acid dyes and neutral complex dyes, and as an auxiliary for dyeing nylon with reactive dyes. Formic acid will not remain on the fabric during the printing and dyeing process. It is more acidic than acetic acid and can reduce hexachromium, so it can improve the utilization rate of dyes during chromium mordant dyeing. Using formic acid instead of sulfuric acid can avoid cellulose degradation, and it has moderate acidity and uniform dyeing, so it is an excellent dyeing auxiliary;

8. In the food industry, it is used for disinfection and preservation in the brewing industry; it is used as a cleaning and disinfecting agent for canned food, a preservative for juice; it is used to prepare edible flavors such as apples, papayas, jackfruits, bread, cheese, cheese, and cream;

9. Formic acid is used to make feed additives, which has great potential in silage. Formic acid has the function of inhibiting or preventing mold growth, and can change the natural fermentation form of feed. Fatty acid is often added to enhance the anti-mold effect. Feeding dairy cows with green fodder treated with formic acid can prevent the reduction of milk production in winter, and the fattening effect is also significantly improved;

10. Produce CO. Chemical formula: HCOOH = (concentrated H2SO4 catalysis) heating = CO + H2O

11. As a reducing agent. Determine arsenic, bismuth, aluminum, copper, gold, indium, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, silver and zinc; test cerium, rhenium and tungsten; test aromatic primary and secondary amines; determine relative molecular mass and crystallization solvents; determine methoxy groups; used as a fixative in microscopic analysis; manufacture formate;

12. As a chemical cleaning agent. Formic acid and its aqueous solution can dissolve many metals, metal oxides, hydroxides and salts, and the resulting formate can be dissolved in water, so it can be used as a chemical cleaning agent. Formic acid does not contain chloride ions and can be used to clean equipment containing stainless steel materials;

13. It is used in the steel industry for pickling of steel products such as steel plates and steel bars;

14. It is used in the papermaking industry for the preparation of wood pulp;

15. Formic acid can be used as a hydrogen storage material. When needed, it can release a large amount of hydrogen for use through appropriate reactions. It is a stable intermediate for the widespread use and safe transportation of hydrogen energy;

16. Formic acid can also be used to make formic acid-based fuel cells. The fuel cell directly uses formic acid as a raw material and generates electricity by reacting formic acid with oxygen to generate carbon dioxide and water, which can drive some small portable devices, such as mobile phones and laptops;
